2 min read

We are delighted to announce that GIST Impact plays a prominent part in a new Microsoft white paper titled “Solving for Inclusive Economic Growth in the Era of AI”.

Featuring insights by Mahima Sukhdev (SVP, Commercial Development), the white paper showcases the GIST Impact Power SROI platform (pp.10-11) – built in collaboration with Microsoft, and enabling an accurate and location-specific calculation of social value generated by different programmes and volunteering drives.

The white paper also features a case study from its Innovate Together programme (p.12) – a series of events and training sessions for local government customers that are designed to accelerate critical digital transformation through collaboration and resource sharing. Leveraging GIST Impact methodology, Microsoft calculate a £2.9 million direct social impact generated, with a further £2.2 million generated in terms of cascading social impact and £1.7 million in terms of saved training costs.

Finally, GIST Impact helped Microsoft to select and analyse four sectors in which AI can drive tangible quantifiable social value (pp.13-14):

  1. Optimising food systems and climate
  2. Enhancing education through personalisation
  3. Revolutionising healthcare
  4. Building skills for the next stage of digital growth

This report demonstrates the cutting-edge capabilities of the GIST Impact methodology and its Power SROI platform, alongside its successful applications in the real world by global corporate leaders such Microsoft.
