We are pleased to announce that the Value Balancing Alliance – an alliance of multinational companies that seek to measure the full impact of their business in a financial manner – has deepened its partnership with GIST Impact by choosing it as its partner for CSRD impact accounting.
At GIST Impact, we use rigorous, science-based methodology to take the lead in developing user-friendly solutions and platforms for companies and investors to integrate impact accounting into their CSRD double materiality assessments, their TNFD nature impact assessments, and beyond.
The partnership showcases that impact accounting is not only possible, it’s here – and it’s quick, it’s scalable, and it can be integrated seamlessly into your standards and regulations aligned data management and strategy.
What is the scope of this partnership?
- VBA has partnered with GIST Impact to provide impact statements and CSRD double materiality assessments to its member firms.
- The partnership enables access to ready-to-use impact accounts, as well as impact accounting data on industry peers, sector benchmarks, impact intensities, and the ability to deep dive into impact across units, assets, and value chains.
- The partnership also enables access to double materiality scores, based on an EFRAG-aligned scoring methodology that uses impact accounting as a key component for measuring impact across scope, scale and remediability.
How does it work?
- GIST Impact’s impact accounting and CSRD data and solutions will be made available to existing and new members at a special discounted price, alongside VBA’s community support programme to help member companies on their journey.
- All existing and new members of VBA can request access to sample data via GIST Impact’s data portal. The free sample data will contain:
- Impact statement for the company based on their sustainability reports
- Impact statement for one supplier and one industry peer, for comparison
- A snippet of a double materiality assessment for the company, based on their latest sustainability reports
- The member company is then invited to an introductory session with GIST Impact and VBA to talk through their data, understand the methodology, and preview what’s available – including value chain analysis, peer and sector benchmarking, and the CSRD double materiality scores.
