GIST Impact speaking at Reset Connect: From ESG & Sustainability to Impact

2 min read

We were honoured to take part in a panel titled “From ESG & Sustainability to Impact: The Future of Finance” at Reset Connect, the signature event for London Climate Action Week.

GIST Impact’s SVP, Commercial Development, Mahima Sukhdev took the stage along with host Cliff Prior, CBE, CEO at GSG Impact and fellow panellists James Payne (Forum for the Future), Ben Constable Maxwell (M&G Investments), Nathan Cole (CDP) and Elsa Pau (BlueOnion) to discuss the future of finance and investment in a rapidly developing environment.

The UK has been a leader in the fields of ESG and Sustainability framed investments, delivering the crucial funds for climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience. But change is coming: tougher rules around ESG, taxonomies and regulatory reporting requirements, new regulations in the EU, USA, and more. In accounting, the ISSB is setting harmonised global standards. Impact valuation is in development. It adds up to a new world order of finance – a world order that should benefit action on climate, recognising the impact on families and livelihoods too. – how will you plan for this new financial system? – what challenges do you expect in the changes involved? – what steps are you making, from ESG to sustainability and to impact? – how will full value chain reporting work for your companies? – and how can you put your company in the forefront of these changes?

Watch the full recording of the panel below and read an interview with Mahima on: Beyond ESG and embracing Impact Valuation and sustainability.
